Chilau is an ethnic fusion of cooking and culture which is rooted in history. As the legend goes Crab Chilau (Cangrejo Enchilado) was first introduced by Cuban immigrants who voyaged to Tampa to work the cigar factories in the Ybor City District of Tampa, once known as the Cigar Capital of the World. During the 1920s Ybor City was a melting pot of ethnic fusion and culture as Cuban, Spanish, Italian and African American residents embraced the dish and put their own unique spin on it. All Chilau products are vegan friendly and contain zero gluten, MSG or other junk! Our sauces feature all-natural clean ingredients and are packed with concentrated flavor.
